Musing Mondays AND It’s Monday! What are you reading?

It’s Musing Monday time and this week’s prompt is courtesy of http://carabosseslibrary.blogspot.com

Do you have any hobbies outside of reading?
Or do you collect anything?

Outside of reading, I have started doing Pilates and training for a 5K. I have never run a day in my life, outside of those pesky req’d courses during school, even so I’ve always wanted to be a runner. I just think runners are amazing and I always thought I would really like it if I could get into it. So I asked an athletic friend of mine to do it with me and we are training together.  I am on week 3 of 9. Oh and I just picked a race to work towards, it’s called Atlanta’s Sweetest Race.

I also love to write cards for any and every occasion. Card making is something I picked up from my great aunt and more recently my brother’s mom. They both sent me cards for years growing up. I always looked forward to them. Now that I have nieces, a nephew on the way and the  children I babysit for; I want to make cards for them to let them know I am thinking about them.

Before cardmaking there was/is scrapbooking but that is a very time consuming hobby and unfortunately I have zero time to pull it off.

At the moment all I collect is scrapbooking supplies and cardmaking stuffs and original, antique silver picture frames.

That’s all I’ve got for this week, how about you guys?

It’s Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey that allows bloggers to share what is on their reading list for today and/or the week.

I just received a notice in my email that the library has my reserved copy of Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins waiting on me to come and pick it up. Isn’t that exciting?! I was just planning on catching up with my reviews, since I am backlogged by six now I think. I am super stoked to get my hands on this! The library has had it on order from the publisher for forever. I might actually be the first person reading the copy.

  1. What a great goal to run 5K.
I hope you enjoy Sweet Evil after waiting so long for it.
