Top Ten Tuesday and Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesday, a weekly meme created by MizB at Should Be Reading, is an opportunity for bloggers to tease their blogging friends about a book they are reading in just two sentences picked form a random page without giving away spoilers.

My teaser for this week is …

I bent over backward, sprung off my hands, and landed perfectly on the narrow curb. I could have been a gymnast in a different life. Turning to face him, I found Aiden staring at me.

Pg. 154, Pure by Jennifer Armentrout

Found one lonely copy of Sentinel on the shelf of a Books A Million Saturday, so I decided to have a week dedicated to Covenant and read a book a day. I have already read Half-Blood and Pure, so Monday and Tuesday are re-read days. After Pure came out I made the decision not to read any more until the series wrapped up. With the release of Sentinel this past weekend and my week off this week I am so excited to be diving back in! I love me some Covenant, possibly even more than Armentrout’s Lux series.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the The Broke and the Bookish where Jamie and her co-bloggers create a top ten list for a given topic. Then they ask the blogging world to contribute their own thoughts on the topic. As always images will take you to the respective Goodreads page.

This week’s topic is: Sequels I Can’t Wait To Get My Hands On (in Order of Most Anticipated)

into the still blue isla and the Happily Ever After opposition secret Evertrue sweet reckoning

  • 1. Into the Still Blue – It’s crazy how the first book left me wanting to discontinue the series and then I took a chance on the second one and loved it. Now Into the Still Blue is my most anticipated 2014 sequel!
  • 2. Isla and the Happily Ever After – I just started reading Lola, but I already know I’m going to love it. Can’t wait to meet Isla!
  • 3. Opposition – Armentrout had to make this list and what better than the final book in the Lux series?!
  • 4. & 5. Secret and Evertrue – Both of these I am a book behind on each. However I fully intend to be caught up on both in time for their successors!
  • 6. Sweet Reckoning – Another book where the second in the trilogy won me over as a fan. So excited for this one!

Taking a page from Chrissi Reads and listing the series I can’t wait to start to complete my Top Ten this week. Thanks Chrissi for the idea!

  1. I just had to add the ones I need to start! There’s just too many good series. I hope you enjoy all the books you plan to start!

  2. I loved Anna and the French Kiss, but couldn’t get into Lola. I have high hopes for Ilsa! I hope you get to start Cinder and the Diviners soon. Their sequels are on my list this week. So much love for them…http://wp.me/pzUn5-1Jm

    1. So far I’m happy with Lola, but I have read quite a bit about fans tending to like one or the other. I’m an Anna fan for sure, so we’ll have to see. I’ll still be reading Isla regardless, if for nothing else to get more Anna and Etienne!

Thanks! They’re on my list of books to start soon-ish.

    1. I actually have a copy of Cinder sitting on my shelf. I bought it just randomly a couple of months ago because I was so convinced I wouldn’t like it that I just had to read it to make sure 🙂
