Picked up several lovely books this month from the library.
Zodiac (Zodiac, #1) by Romina Russell — I grew up reading my astrology and I think a book where “your sign determines the planet you call home,” sounds super fascinating! I don’t think there’s a prerequisite to having previous zodiac knowledge in order to enjoy this. I’ll let you know when I finish!
Firstlife (Everlife, #1) by Gena Showalter — This wasn’t even on my radar until the book community started talking about it. But a book based on life after life? That’s intriguing. Plus, Gena Showalter is a well-known popular author, I have to get around to reading something of hers one of these days 🙂
Murder House by James Patterson — My mom was the Patterson fan, she wouldn’t believe you if you told her I was reading something by this author. But I am. This is happening. Besides thrillers tend to be a slam dunk for me. They keep my attention which is nearly impossible these days and I end up flying through them to find out who-dun-it!
The Young Elites (the Young Elites, #1) by Marie Lu (not pictured) — I’m reading this to my 6-month-old actually, haha. He doesn’t know what’s going on, just likes to laugh at me while I read to him in my funny voices.
The Rose Society (the Young Elites, #2) by Marie Lu — I was at the library picking up the other two titles when I spied this on the shelf. Might as well have the sequel on hand when I finish the first one.
The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury — Another book not on my radar at all until the book community started buzzing. One thing that makes this title super appealing? It’s a standalone! The story of a jinni and the boy she falls in love with… Sounds like a nice fun, quick read and honestly I need more of these!
Truthwitch (the Witchlands, #1) by Susan Dennard — Everyone at BEA last year was telling all of us we HAD to read this. BEA was last weekend and this book is still getting buzz from this community. Plus the world of witches and magic will always lure me in!
